1988 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Cabriolet – Sold

This was the last iteration in in the original 911 series, with all following models featuring new body styling with new brake, electronic and suspension technologies. The car featured a new 3.2-litre flat six engine. The new volume of 3164 cc was achieved using the 95 mm bore of the 3.0 SC combined with the 1978 Turbo 3.3 crankshaft's 74.4 mm stroke. In addition, new pistons increased the compression ratio from 9.8 to 10.3:1. New inlet manifold and exhaust systems were also fitted and the 915 transmission was carried over from the SC series. The Carrera 3.2 is also historically significant as the last 911 to feature Fuchs alloy wheels, that much-loved trademark first seen on the 911 S of 1966. 

This particular car is a beautiful example of the immortal Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Cabriolet from 1986. Finished in the beautiful classic colour of Garnet Red Metallic with a black full leather interior. Spare key and the original Service book and owners manual is included and confirm the relatively low mileage of 107,700 km. This 3.2 Carrera was originally delivered through LSM Distributors, Durban on the 24th of November 1986 to a Ms. Penelope Jane Bush of Marine Parade Durban and roamed the cosmopolitan holiday hotspot sporting the plate ND 380-911. The following options are original installed: central locking system, 6 way electrical-adjustable seats, Air conditioner, 16 inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels and an electrical soft top.
