The V12 Vanquish is a car beloved by modern day enthusiasts and also heritage collectors alike. The car's appearance in 'Die Another Day' ensured its place in James Bond history and has helped to make this an instantly recognisable model. Importantly, Vanquish saw huge developments in engineering and design, many of which formed the basis for the development of the current Aston Martin model line-up. Building on the sales success of the original Vanquish, Vanquish S featured an increase in engine power (up from 460bhp to 520bhp) and revised gear and back axle ratios. Top speed was quoted as being in excess of 200mph, making it one of the fastest Aston Martin road cars built at Newport Pagnell. The "S" exterior panels were still lovingly hand finished in the factory panel shop from ‘Superformed’ aluminium. Discreet changes to ‘S’ included a bigger, revised grille, front splitter and a raised rear ‘spoiler’ built into the boot lid to keep the car stable at high speed.
Offered in iconic Meteorite Silver over an Obsidian Black leather interior with contrasting Chancellor Red seat inserts. This ultra low milage, 3 owner from new Vanquish S is pristine with a full service history with Aston Martin and fully documented. Ordered new ,by a racing car driver, from Aston Martin of Mayfair, London and later exported to Cape Town when the owner immigrated. It has also been confirmed by the Local AM agents in conversation that the first owner wanted a better exhaust note than the standard already glorious sound and was sent to Aston Martin Works for a one off factory designed system. AM UK wont confirm this in writing because they wont reproduce another. The sound is extraordinary. This is of the last true hand built Astons built at Newport Pagnell and therefore shares the same blood line of the legendary David Brown era.
