Meet The Team

Meet Richard Webb

Co-founder of The Archive & Group A Drivers Club.

Richard is the unpractical one. He does subscribe to power, beauty & soul & fancies himself as a bit of a "Bentley Boy". He also subscribes to self inflicted pain & suffering & can be found mincing between the occasional antique Jaguar & factory specified porous Land Rovers. More of a heart before head type of lad & loves a good old fashion hunt when it comes to sourcing the impossible. We have no idea what his favourite car is but then again we dont think he knows either. His answer, to quote Carol Shelby is always "the next one".

Meet Simon Luckhoff

Photographer & Social Media Manager for The Archive & Group A Drivers Club.

Simon goes by many names at The Archive, Paparazzi, Simmy Lucky & Automatic to name but a few. His talent far supersedes his unique laughter and spends most of the day turning down job offers and scheming the next best shoot. His most enjoyable drive to date when asked was a tie between the Cape 1000 in a Bentley 3/8 Special Racer when he wore a cooler bag over his head to cool off the fear and in the passenger seat of Alex's GT4 testing the tensile strength of the passenger grab handle and imaginary brake peddle on Franschoek Pass. His favourite car is anything automatic but preferably a Mercedes C63 W204.

Meet Alex Dunford

Co-founder of The Archive & Group A Drivers Club.

Alex is the practical one. He doesn't subscribe to the nonsense of power, beauty & soul. Tops the leaderboard for most social interactions with the “ghost squad” and loves him self a little high performance late night ice cream run every now and then. His favourite passenger is Noodle the Labradoodle but when solo you’ll find him most Sundays at sunrise on a mountain pass trying to beat his personal best lateral acceleration figures whilst joyfully destroying a sticky set of Michelin Cup 2’s. When asked the most frequented question of "what is your ultimate choice of drivers car", his answer is always, "there is no substitute" followed shortly thereafter by.....

Meet Tiaan Botha

Sales administrator & Operations at The Archive

Tiaan is the infectiously likeable one. No task is ever too much or too difficult. He gets the job done with a giddy giggle and wins "the most customer compliments" award month on month. His laugh is known to drone out the likes of an Akrapovic high performance titanium exhaust system & some say his dream car can be found with a premium pair of veldskoens & the words "Legend" & "4X4" inscribed on it, with or without cattle rails but we beg to differ...

Meet Matt Van Eden

Head of The Archive's Legal & Contractual Department.

Matt is our in house lawyer and keeps us and you safe when it comes to buying a car through The Archive. He's as manly as they come and makes Action Man look like the Brumbies, Nic White's part time lover. He's a no nonsense, Triumph Bonneville riding, cage fighting, mountain biking, trail running, drone piloting, faultless romantic. When put up against this man, you simply cant win. He's the fastest passenger in the Group A drivers club and chairman of The Archive's quarterly "board meetings". His favourite car is a seamlessly sold car.
